thanks shayne, for the RAD shirt i bought this vintage 70s fringe jacket a few months ago and haven’t had a chance to use it in a shoot. when my ‘davenport, iowa’ shirt arrived, i knew the time had come!

I had the chance to shoot Piggy the pug this morning, and oh, man, was she wonderful! So sweet. So squishy. So adorable. Ever since I got this booking a few weeks ago, I’ve been really looking forward to the shoot. And she did not let me down. Would love to shoot her again.

I was really happy to get a call from the OC Weekly last month to shoot their cover story on Josh Freese, rockstar drummer. It was my first assignment with the OC Weekly, and it was their cover story.

Got to hang with Freese for a whole day and do a couple of studio and on location portrait sessions. Very cool guy (and his dog Frankie rocks!).

Jill & Karlo

Had much fun this morning (despite the early call time) to shoot Jill & Karlo at the Santa Monica Pier, where Karlo proposed to Jill. Those Karlo looks pretty tough, he’s a hardcore sentimentalist and even remembered which step they were both sitting on when he popped the question. Both work in a caregiver environment and spend their days (and many nights) tending to the needs of others. This, I think, make them really rad and wonderful people. But today they got to be treated like supermodels and bossed about by me.

In the midst of their kiss-filled engagement shoot, Karlo & Jill took time out at the Arlington West, the Iraq war memorial on Santa Monica beach, to remember those fallen and to hope that peace will come soon.
